Rajesh Amrale is a founding member of Mallakhambindia, one of India’s leading organisations dedicated to the preservation, performance, and teaching of the traditional sport and artform of Mallakhamb. As a performer, Rajesh is an 8-time national champion for Mallakhamb. He got the best player award from state government for the year 2011-12. He was also a finalist of India’s Got Talent season 1 and has performed Mallakhamb in more than 10 countries. He has worked extensively with Cirque du Soliel and was pivotal to the breakthrough performance work ‘Mallakhamb Mumbai’ which toured to 4 countries in front of 40,000 people.
